Hello everyone!

This is a Battle grounds map me and my friends have made because we believe there is only 3 battle ground maps on the AU MCSG Server right now. We really hope this gets accepted, if any questions add me on skype (zak.speers1) And hope you Enjoy!

And then the map download:https://www.mediafire.com/?l73ss6hgvn79hne <-- Download then open game Dir in minecraft launcher in the bottom left corner, then click on saves then extract this BgMap.zip and put the folder in your saves! :D

Here's a couple things I noticed about this map, and some advice for it.

- The buildings are poorly designed, and lack detail.
The structures around the map seem to be only made of one block type, and look very basic and lack details. A couple of the buildings in the foreground of the second screenshot look like garages disjointed from modern houses, not desert type structures. Things such as overgrowth (with vines and leaves), texturing using stairs, slabs and other accent blocks can go a long way to improve buildings.

- Flat, boring landscape.
I understand Battlegrounds maps are designed for PvP, so flatter maps are ideal, however some sort of terraforming, at least around the edge, would have improved the overall look of the map, and made it much more realistic. Putting random piles of sand blocks doesn't add much to this map.

- Poorly executed ideas.
By this I mean the use of default jungle trees, and the blatantly obvious lush and green flatland outside the dome, with practically no effort made to conceal it. The square sand selections are also obvious (use //sphere sand <radius> 1) with worldedit to create a circle if you weren't aware. The use of solely default trees could have been improved by creating custom trees. Personally, for a desert theme I would have created 'dead' trees, using acacia logs and no leaves to fit the dry, barren landscape.

I really like the desert theme, it'd be cool to play BG on this kind of map, it just needs a bit of work!

Then some issues with the thread include

- Including the download link to the map.
Doing this means that anyone who views this thread can then download your map, disappear and then submit it to another server, taking credit, and can gain ranks and popularity for your map. I know the chances are low, but you could have simply explained you'll be willing to send the link to any administrator which contacts you.

- Lack of format, information or presentation.
The thread doesn't use the correct format, nor makes it easy for people to view the images. It lacks information such as map radius, special details or even a description of the map.

So hopefully this has been helpful. It is not my intention to seem rude with these comments, but honestly glossing it over as a good map wouldn't be beneficial for your future as a builder. Best of luck!
