To begin this thread, I'd like to point you in the direction of the title. This is my opinion; nobody should be offended about it. Also, I'd like you to read the entire thread if you plan on criticizing me. Get all of the facts before proving me wrong. If you have, feel free to tell me, I'm glad to hear what you have to say.
NOW THEN
as you know, I am nbroski/theoremz, as many of you know I'm a banned player. I have been permanently banned since the middle of December for the reason: I bypassed the filter and was temporarily banned. I was pressured by my clan to participate in a scrimmage the last day of the ban. The other clan found out and reported me, leaving me permanently banned. You may ask: why is this a permanent ban? This is only two minor offences nbroski! Well I had one hacking offense from about a year earlier. I was curious of what hacking was like; I did it for 1-2 weeks. A year later, I didn't even remember this offence when I suffered the permanent ban. And so I go on to the main point of my discussion. I propose to you: the community AND the staff of the mcgamer network, a second chance policy. If one has obviously changed their ways, 10+ months after the offence they haven't done it recently, one may opt for a discard of the ban. If one hacks a week after v1, one should not have this ban a year later when they want to apply for mod, don't want any offences, or want one less to avoid a permban. I don't feel I deserve to be permanently banned. Of course I deserved punishment; I shouldn't be permbanned. I love the community, the chest system, the game, the staff, etc. Banning me doesn't discard an awful player; it takes me from my friends. NEXT don't think I'm bashing the staff. I love the staff and even mostly the ban system here. I just feel that some adaptations to the system to promote fairness should be implemented. Please keep this in mind, my friends. Thank you.

I don't know if you do deserve to be perm banned, but here is my thing, you knew you were breaking the rules when you did those things. You knew that if you got caught you would be banned but you still did them. And i also would not want a former hacker on the staff team. So all in all you seem like a nice guy but you knew what your were getting into and it is no ones fault but yours that you are paying the price.

Second chances are always nice: It seems this is good and bad at the same time. I know it's a bad example, but taken prison for example: If someone is put in prison they don't really get a "second chance", they just have to serve their time. When you bypassed your ban it would be like someone "escaping" from prison, and that would only increase their time: possibly to an eternity. I'm not entirely sure how this server deals with banned users (Sounds like they give you multiple chances and then you're permbanned) but it seems like a fairly good system in my honest opinion. Also, one thing I couldn't help but notice....

Sounds like you have another 4 or 5 months to go....

That's the thing, your analogy can be used to prove the other thing. Prisoners can get shorter sentences for good behaviour, and to say that someone is exactly the same person they were a year ago and haven't learnt from their ban after a long amount of time isn't true. If his hacking ban was ages ago and the permanent ban was inflicted just for bypassing filter and using an alt, sure it deserves a ban but I think that a permban is a bit harsh..

it wouldn't have been a perm ban if you didn't include the hacking offense. The permban was about a year after the hacking offense. I wouldn't be perm banned if that hacking offense could be forgiven.

It just so happens I have a moderator guide, although I won't release this document because of rules and stuff I can tell that you were unfairly banned, maybe submitting a ban dispute would help. That's according to my moderator guide, try and find out which moderator banned you, unfortunately because you were hacking, you may always be perm banned :/

I've seen the mod guide. A demoted mod uploaded a vid about it. I posted a ban dispute of which did not help. My ban was upheld. Either way, my goal is not to ask for pity. Right now, I want to get my opinion across that a second chance policy should be in place.

Once you have two hacking bans, you're permanently banned. If you hack once, you get another chance in which to prove yourself, that you don't deserve to be banned.

You hacked multiple times across multiple accounts. You had your chance, and you blew it.
