Okay, this has been bugging me for a long time, and I just wanted to mention this..

Why are moderators chilling back in the hub? Moderating the chat, probably. But why, do we really need 3+ mods sitting back in the hub telling everyone to 'stop spamming' every once in a while? I think not, we have working filters, and if people would be spamming, they would just get kicked by the plugin eventually.

I do see 3+ mods in the EU hub only telling people to 'stop spamming'. And whenever this happens, it's not even spam, it's just multiple people writing a single message, it's not spamming if they write one message per player, is it? You might think it's flooding the chat and thus breaking the rules, but the server is popular, what are you gonna do?

I know, remove the global chat and bam, we have more moderators actually banning the fricking hackers that we need to get rid of. Spam is harmless, who cares if the hub chat is getting spammed anyways, people go through the hub to play SG, nothing else.

Mods are working so hard - also behind the scenes. They deal with hacker reports on the forums, pokes on teamspeak, etc.
When they are also Moderating.the chat at the same time, it's something we should thank them. The new Hub systems need a lot of Moderation as they are.still testing the best way to handle the chat system and there actually is a lot of spamming and abuse.
Also keep in mind that Mods are people like you and me. They spend their freetime for the servers and for us players.
In my opinion, its not really nice to say Mods don't work enough.

Wyz Isnt saying that they dont work hard enough; hes trying to get the point across that we dont REALLY need multipe mods all saying "dont spam". With the global chat we only really need 1 mod in any hub-because the global chat lets them see all the chat.
think about it this way:
One mod is sat in the hub at a time
this lets the other 2 (as wyzguy said, theres usually about 3 on, when im on) mods, per hub, be on TS and bieng able to snap to peoples ingame needs of banning hackers, or sifting through the masses or reports on the forums. This also lets mods actually play still! Because I see 90% of the mods in the hub rather than the game (maybe I suck at spotting mods, and I know you have silent join and disguises)

This isnt meant to be me having a rant at mods or something, just a suggestion

If you see a hacker you have a few different options.
1. Poke a mod on TS (Best Option)
2. Use the /report command.
3. Record them and report them on the forums.
Some mods don't enjoy playing survival games, so they sit in the hub and wait for anyone who might need help to come and get them.

This was not my point, and totally haven't been told that a million times.

I was saying that we don't need 3 mods in the hub telling others to 'stop spamming' because I don't see any spam occuring in the hub, they could be doing something productive instead of that.

I love how every time I make athread about mods, there's atleast one non-mod telling me how hard working mods are and how I should appreciate them, and I do appreciate them, but in the other hand, Staff's job is to work for me, and that's what they applied for. They should all expect hard work, and if they are not ready to try their best everyday (omfg Nirmit reference) they shouldn't even be here.

Soo.. You're not gonna take part in this conversation?

I understand your frustrations but I think there is a lot of behind the scenes things that happen that lots of players don't realize. However, you need to realize that even if you might see 3 or so mods moderating the hub, there are several that you CANNOT see in games and moderating elsewhere. With the global chat, obviously there has been an increase in the number of people spamming and flooding, posting dirty links, and just overall abusing each other. But its not just that, we are also seeing a lot more people in the mini hubs asking for help to record hackers in their games. Moderators sitting in the hub are also able to respond to those problems. :)

If you ever notice that a moderator is sitting in the hub obviously not afk and not responding to rule breakers or people reporting hackers, be sure to let someone (such as Sr. Staff) know.

P.S. I forgot to mention that I do agree with some of the things you're saying, but when you see 3 or so mods in the hub, that doesn't mean that there aren't any of us in game.

That is true, and I didn't even realise that mods could be disguised ingame :/

But I still think 1 mod in the hub (total 1 per region) should be enough. If a mod sees someone else moderating the hub, he/she can do something else instead.
