Minecraft lag...

I've been experiencing a lot of lag when paying MCSG, all my settings are on low, I have optifine and multi-core enabled, I set java to high priority, I have it set to use 3gb exactly, I have my graphics set to performance, I have my power plan set to Razer's Gaming mode settings, and I am using the default texture pack...what could be wrong?

Specs:
- i3-2350m @ 2.3 ghz
- Intel HD 3000
- 6 gb 1333mhz DDR3 Samsung RAM
- Intel Centrino 6300 wifi card and belkin n600 router
- using 768p resolution

I'm not sure if I should expect lag with hd 3000 as it's certainly not a terrible IGP, but I really wan this fixed as multiplayer is unplayable right now. I'd expect this type of lag from my old computer, but not this one.

Update: downloaded PureSimplicity, helped a bit, still quite a bit of lag. Would appreciate any help.

Well it depends, are your fps dropping, or are people freezing and lagging out.
