This has happened to everyone. If you entered a server a while ago, you can still play on it; try to enter one now, and everyone gets that message

It seems this is not a client side issue, and if it hasn't already been resolved it will mostly be soon. As TehMaksNinja said, checking the status of Minecraft services is always good when troubleshooting problems.
