This thread will be filled with Minecon 2014 News, and some assumptions on where its going to be.

MOJANG DOESN'T KNOW WHERE?!?!
So I tweet to Mojang support,
And no luck, they said "We don't know" It could be that their department doesn't know, or MAYBE the whole Mojang team doesn't know. So I tweeted to them again.
They don't know. They said it will be announced on the Mojang website, so that means they might have found a place, we don't know, but lets hope information will come out these following next two weeks.
Lydia Winters tweeted it out that will be in Europe
And since its July 17, as of writing this, nothing other than that has been announced.
Minecon 2013 was announced to be in Florida in June, which lead the actual convention to be held the 2nd and 3rd of November.
Since Minecon hasn't been announced yet, I'm thinking it will be in late November.
Location
Since Minecon was announced to be in Europe, it can lead to either being in Stockholm, Sweden OR London, England.
If it were to be in Sweden, I think it would take place in
Stockholmsmässan Exhibition & Convention Center
If it were in London, I think I would take place in
ExCeL London Convention Center
Attendees
Since every Minecon gets bigger and bigger, I think there will be around 6,000 MAYBE 8,000.
So expect a lot of...

In 2011, Lydia posted this picture on the Mojang website.
Here are the results of that vote,
As you can see, the Red Creeper Cape (2011) won first place. The Blue Golden Pickaxe Cape (2012) won second. And here is the cool part. Minecon 2013 had a piston on it, and It was green, the third place winner was green.
So we should be getting a Blue Cape or a Orange Cape
Or if were lucky, a Purple Cape
