I was just wondering if anyone has any advice on what microphones to buy and what qualities are necessary :)
(I will not be needing a headset so that's out of the question)
Thanks in advance!

He said he doesn't need a headset. :p

For a microphone, get a blue yeti or blue snowball. They are worth for their price and are of great quality!

Oh haha, guess I didn't read the post properly.

I have had experience with the Audio Technica Atr-25oo, they have really good sound quality and they are relatively cheap, but it picks up everything, so make sure your door is closed. :D

From what I've heard the blue snowball isn't the best, but pretty decent.
As for the Blue Yeti, I've seen it and might be purchasing that one. Thanks :)

Ahaha, yeah I don't really need a head set since I have sensitive ears ;-; I will check that one out thanks :)

Snowball is great, but I personally couldn't find a comfortable setup without picking up sounds from my keyboard.

Blue Snowball is the best budget good-quality microphone you can go with, especially since it's only $60. If you're a gamer who just wants better voice quality, or if you're just getting into Youtubing and video production, this is a good device for you.

Blue Yeti is a great quality mic, nearing professional level with the right accessories, but at a price of +$100, it might be beyond the worth of what you want to accomplish. This is for established podcasters, musicians, or mid-level Youtubers, basically people breaking into the professional realm.

If you get into the Blue Yeti realm, consider looking into some of Audiotechnica's mics as well. AT used to be the go-to audio guys for professional level mics before Blue stepped in on their market, but AT still has a great range of devices with an established brand.
