Mega lagg spikes at lobby

It may be just me but about waiting 1 minute in the lobby are i start getting unimaginable lag spikes... it always happens right after you hear thunder outside... What i'm trying to say is the lobby with all the rain and the thunder there.. is quite a load to take for anyone with not such a good computer Thanks for reading

Also i forgot to mention that all my visual settings are on the lowest setting possible
