Has anyone else noticed this? I rarely, if ever, have had this issue previously. Now with the update to 1.7.2 I notice this at least 1 out of 3 games and its causing me to die as I can't move :(

Yeah, I've noticed it quite a lot. It screws me over all the time. >.< I think it may have something to do with the fact that we don't stop sprinting.

I was thinking the same thing, and although I love the new sprint feature I have been playing on 1.6.4 because of this.

I think it's because of the 1.7.2 Sprint Key that you rubberband.
The rubberbanding is caused by NoCheat+ (NCP, in other words the anti-hack plugin, whichever MCSG has.)
The anti-cheat is made to stop cheats/hacks, and one of the most common hacks is Sprint Hacks, such as BSM.
The anti-cheat is configured to stop BSMers, sprint hackers, etc. (I'm going to ignore other aspects of the NCP for this thread)
When someone sprint hacks (Including BSM) The system tries to stop them, literally - It stops them. With the rubber banding.
The new Sprint key makes sprint very similar to BSM and other basic sprint hacks, and thus the system cannot easily distinguish between the two. Because sometimes you pull of a turn or start sprint in a funny manner, the system thinks you're using a mod/hack, and stops you.

I'm assuming you're using the sprint key in 1.7.2, since during the livestream you absolutely loved it :p

the issue is with the 1.7 BSM like sprint and NCP. NCP hasn't actually updated/it needs to be tweaked or something like that. its a problem that we are aware of and hope to get it fixed soon. all it is is NCP flipping out at the new 1.7 sprint feature.

Think of it this way. 1.7 offers this nice new sprint feature and NCP is like "NOPE, Chuck Testa" xD

and honestly the rubber banding isn't that bad. all you have to do is every now and then just restart your sprint (from what I've seen) but I could be completely wrong because I don't get much time to play lately

Often, even if you just try walking it rubber bands you back. What I usually do is shift and move a few blocks, then I can move again, but it often happens again in the next few seconds.

Yea, fixes it for me as well, but unfortunately I don't have the luxury of being able to do that when being chased :D
