Hey guys, It's Cubes. I have a bit of a more serious topic to talk about now.
Today at the beginning of my school day, I walked into my Calculus room to take a test. One of my acquaintances, who's name will be withheld, has a heart murmur, and sometimes has trouble. Anyways, near the very beginning of class, we were all standing up. I look to my right and he falls to the floor unconscious.
Since I'm a lifeguard, I have a duty to act. I, along with the teacher, approached him, and tried to see what had happened. I could quickly diagnose that this boy was having a seizure. However, my teacher insisted on calling the school nurse, instead of immediately calling for an ambulance. In my training, seizures are emergencies that require immediate EMS attention. When the nurse, accompanied by the principal, entered the room, the boy was in a mostly stable condition, but he was still seizing. It was regulated though, and did not require special attention, apart from monitoring.
I'm not quite sure what happened to him after that, as my teacher rushed us into another room to take a test, which was "obviously" more important. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with the administration of our school. I just wish the appropriate action were taken sooner, if at all.
Essentially, please pray for this guy. He's had a history of this, and I don't know how he's currently doing. If you don't like praying, please just keep him in your thought. Wish him the best.
Thanks all,
Cubes
