lagging help

Hello everyone. I have been expirencing a problem. I usually play on my mom laptop recently because I have been facing lagg on my desktop. I have no problems with my moms laptop but on my desktop whenever I connect to a sever, it lags and most of the time it kicks me and either says "javasockettimeout.read" or somthing like that.or it says servedr time out. I mostly get the java message. Any help would be apreciated. Thanks and sorry for spelling I'm on my phone

I would suggest maybe clean out the desktop and run scans which will remove viruses and then maybe allocate more RAM to java.

watch the tutorial and watch out with overclocking your ram because it easily breaks.

1. Right click on your desktop and click new then select text file
2. Type java -Xmx256m -Xms256m -cp Minecraft.exe net.minecraft.LauncherFrame
3.Click file then save as
4. Name it Run.bat And where it says .txt file click that and select all files
5 Click save
6. You should see a new icon on your desktop Double click it
7. a command prompt should pop and minecraft will run on its own
8. Btw just copy and paste Step 2 just leave out the "Type" part
9. If that doesnt work go to minecraft.net and It should say download now Right below that you will see Or play in your browser click that and if it asks to update say no.
