First of all, here is my issue: Everything I do on mcsg has become really delayed and laggy. It's not my internet connection, which is rock solid with fast up and down speeds, and my fps never dips below 100, usually it's above 200. But I get these weird pseudo-lag spikes every maybe 5-10 seconds which really inhibits gameplay and has caused many, many losses. The frame rate never dips during these spikes, and my internet connection is steady in everything else, including other games. This was since the last update for mcsg, which was when 1.6.4 was released. Note, I did have my laptop serviced right around when this update happened. So I'm not sure what the cause is. Also, not only do I get lag spikes, but there is a really annoying sprint lag in general, and the gameplay I'm getting just makes it feel like I have a really high ping. Interestingly enough, since downloading minecraft new on my refurbished laptop, when I go servers, it takes about 5 seconds to show all the online servers, and they always have something crazy like 4000 ping and 1 bar. When I click to join the server, minecraft freezes up for about 2 seconds then logs in just like normal, with normal enough response time, just like I've always played. Is this connected? I've tried optifine, reinstalling everything, resarting router, computer, unblocking java in Kaspersky (firewall application) and Windows Firewall, and tried to unblock the 25565 port for minecraft. Nothing has changed, and the gameplay is still thoroughly unsatisfying. Any thoughts? Has this even happened to anyone?
Edit: Yes, I have tried both 1.6.2 and 1.6.4
