Lag on mcsg

When I play on any server (Mostly mcsg) I get lag. I found out that this was due to a low fps. Is there any way of raising my fps, otherwise I can't play the best hunger games around!

Optifine, and close any other background programs that aren't necessary.

Another factor is render distance. Unfortunately some of us are forced to lower our render distance when we play. Even with optifine I have to be on tiny. So try it with optifine and see what works for you.
