An Idea for how you can make the self building house house is try to make the walls from leaves, and grow a tree, then, keep the leaves on the piece of wood and, once done, remove the log with pistons and the leaves will decay.

OR

Put it in the ground and you can remove gravel/sand. That way, it will be a hole in the ground house. You just need too have a base of pistons facing upwards.

OR

Push sand up and make the blocks on top of the sand a solid block, that way when you remove the sand, it creates a house shell. This one wont be retractable unless you use TNT or fire.

Make a parkour course which teleports you to a different part of the course each time, so you never know how far you have gone. You could really mess with people, making multiple choices where one sends you back 100 jumps or something XD
