Hey guys!
So recently I built a new computer and I installed java and downloaded Minecraft and Optifine - the only problem is whenever I try and start minecraft it gives me the erro: Java(TM) Platform SE binary has stopped working. This happens in the launch screen and I can't even log into minecraft to start playing. If anyone has a fix/might know what is wrong I would appreciate it a lot! I have a 64 bit OS and a 64 bit version of Java installed. If you need more specs just let me know.

When I had a PC, this happened to me.

I would try

1) Alt+Ctrl+Del
2) Start up Task Manager
3) Under Process Tab > Locate: "javaw.exe [Java™ Plateform SE Library]"
4) Highlight and click the button that says "End Process"
5) close out, start up Minecraft instantly

If that doesn't work, try looking it up.

  • Have you tried turning your computer off and on again?
  • Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling a 64-bit version of Java?
  • Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Minecraft?
If none of these work, please post the contents of your client log so that we can take a look.

I've tried all of those yes. Sorry I don't quite know how to access the client log - if you can tell me how I'll get it for you

First you'll need to force your client to keep the launcher and game output open. You can do this by modifying your active profile and setting the launcher visibility to "Keep the launcher open"

You can see the setting that I'm referring to in the following screenshot:

You'll then be able to view your console log on the launcher through the "Game Output" tab:

If the game crashes before it even launches, you'll need to copy the contents of the launcher log.

Thank you for the help, but I really can't even get to the launcher because it won't even let me log in so I can get to the logs. It runs for about 3 seconds and then gives me the error. I'm pretty sure it's a problem just with Java since it gives me the same error when I open the Java application itself.

Haha I've tried just about everything any Google results give me, it's really really frustrating. It might be a problem with Windows 10 but there are hardly any people using it who would experience the same problem I'm having so I can't really get much help. :/

Hi, Tigerstain. The problem may be in your operating system (Windows 8), try to reinstall it. Maybe you have an old version of Java (it's worth it to update on the official website). Try cleaning your PC with Ccleaner. Also, I advise you to try another license launcher TLAUNCHER (http://tlauncher.ru/download/jar). If you're going to reinstall Windows, then put Windows 7 original copy, then you can activate it using activator.
If that - write :3 Have a Nice day

It's definitely a problem with my OS yeah. But I'm running Windows 10 and I don't have a disk for Windows 8 or below, so I'm kinda stuck here :|

Best of luck with it!
