So my parents have decided to finally buy me a new computer (DONT tell me to build one because my parents won't let me). I found one on ibuypower for ~$950. Here are the specs:

Intel i7 3770 processor
Nvidia gtx 660 graphics card
8gb 1866 g skill ripjaws ram
Gigabyte z77-hd3 motherboard
500w corsair power supply
1 tb hard drive

Keep in mind that the upgrade from 1600 to 1866 ram is free. Also the upgrade from gtx 650 ti to the 660 is free as well. So I was just wondering how well this will perform w/ shaders and without. Can it run shaders on normal setting with 30+ fps? I would appreciate all of the feedback I could get. Thanks :)

P.S. the computer has to be under $1000

Pretty decent. It should run upwards of 40-50 fps with shaders. Smart choice choosing 660 over 650 ti. Just go around and look up benchmarks.

This computer is pretty close to what I have and it's doing me good.

I've never actually tried shaders though.

yes but a 700 series GPU and a 4th gen CPU would be better and cheaper
