Is the Macro Mod allowed?

I know you guys have probably seen tons of threads asking this question but I'd just like an answer for myself. Is the Macro Mod allowed? A lot of people have said it depends on how you use it. Well the way I use is basically I have extra buttons on my mouse so I use the Macro Mod to set them to certain inventory slots. What I'm saying is I'll press a certain button on my mouse and it will automatically switch it to slot 3 or 9. Thanks for any information you can give.

Using the macro mod as a way to quickly switch between items in your hot bar with the buttons on your mouse is allowed. Although using it to spam messages in chat or binding it to to a key such as "W" is against the rules, if you are abusing the mod and using it to break rules there will be a punishment.
