In game ping command?

So, I was just messing around, and some servers have this command called /ping, when, if typed, the console replies back PONG! So, I was pretty surprised that when I typed /ping, the server replied by giving me my computer's ping. I know that there are some people who don't know how to check their ping, so I just thought I should share this. For those who didn't know, now you do, I guess

lol, same type of thing, i get like 150 on us and like 60 on ca.

I think this is inaccurate, as this is far off the ping i get before i enter the server.
