If i change my username in 1.8 Will i keep my platinum donor?

Basically, i have just bought platinum donor and 1.8 is coming soon. In 1.8 Mojang is allowing everyone to change their username, i would like to know if the donor rank stays with your Minecraft account even if you change your username? Thanks <3

Yes, you will keep all your stats on everything, and your donor on everything.
