Ice/Snow map theme

What do you guys think about a snow/ice and like mountain theme with caves and other features. Just wondering because I have been making maps lately and was wondering what you guys thought about the idea so maybe I can make one for the server.

Personally I dont like snow in minecraft at all, but you should really do this. Something different...

You should use snow blocks. I hate the side of the snowy dirt blocks

I have an extension to zuko's idea. Maybe in places the snow is supposed to be thicker, you could have several snow blocks getting piled up after all the snow that's fallen. In places that the snow is thinner, it should have less or even no snow blocks and just snow.

Whit minecraft edit you can make the snow layers in variation but it is difficult (you can't see the different while in mcedit and not working with singleplayer commands /give) I have tryed and it is realy cool! I meant a thickness of several blocks so that you have to jump, not a general thickness inside the block.
