You can bounty other players (/bounty name #) or sponsor other players gifts (/sponsor name).

Alot of people try to stack up as much as possible of those points to gain a status ( the more points you got the better you are )
There are also 2 things you can do with them

1. You can bounty your points on someone. This mean that when a person kills the person they gain the points you have put on the person. ( people try to kill the people with alot of bouty on them for the points. ) the command for this is /bounty [playername] [amount]
   
2. You can sponsor people, this means you turn in points to give a person a certain item. You can acces the donor menu by typing /sponsor [playername].

Please keep in mind that you can only acces those commands as spectator.

Wrong. the more WINS the better you are. Some people bounty/sponsor their points on Youtubers or if they don't like to get targeted :/

He's still correct. A lot of people DO do that. Some people don't check anyone else's wins, and some people don't even know what points are and just assume that the more you have the better you are. Yes, we know that wins are what really counts, but a lot of pros like to keep points for what he stated. You're both correct, except when you said that he was wrong.

I was reffering to the status, wins is indeed what counts, but as mooclan said already is that alot of people look at the points to determine if someone good or not.
