Recently there has been a lot of players being hit offline because someone on skype resolved their IP.
Today I am making a post on how to prevent this from happening easily so you can be better prepared for that next intense Clan Battle!
NOTES
This will only work on PC's
Go to https://www.whatismyip.com/ and check your IP Remember it or leave it open
Step 1
Open Skype and go to Tools, Options, Advanced, Connection
Step 2
Where it says "Use port _____ for incoming connections, set that number to 23535
Tick the box that says "Use port 80 and 443 for additional incoming connections."
Select HTTPS from the drop down menu
Set the host to 127.0.0.1
Set the port as 40031
Untick "Enable Proxy Authentication"
Untick "Enable uPnP"
Tick "Allow direct connections to your contacts only"
Press save in the bottom right hand corner
Step 3
Next you will have to change your ip.
To do this you will need to quit skype and end any Skype.exe that is running in task manager.
There are a few ways you can change your IP, here are some
The first way is to turn off your router/modem for around 5-10 minutes which will change your IP. To test if this has worked, go to https://www.whatismyip.com/ again and check if it has changed.
The second way is to call support of your provider and ask them to change it, or ask them for suggestions on how to change it.
Thank you for reading and I hope it has helped you.
Remember : DDOS'ing is not cool, it is only a game, why you heff to be mad?
DISCLAIMER : Most of the information I got for this post game from http://community.skype.com/t5/Secur...ect-your-IP-from-skype-resolvers/td-p/3874291. I just felt like I should share it with you as surprisingly a lot of people did not know this.
