Bounty confuses me! From what I've seen there is no benefit to the person who places the bounty.
Here is a list of circumstances where 1= person that places bet, 2= person being placed bet on, 3= person who kills person who the bet was placed on:
1 places bounty on 2. 1 loses points. 2 wins and gains points.
1 places bounty on 2. 2 dies to 3. 3 gains more points for kill.
1 places bounty on 2. 2 disconnects. 1 gets points back (same as before setting bounty).

Am I wrong? Is there no way to receive a benefit from bounty? If there is no way to get a benefit what is the point in placing bounties?

Bounties is when a spectator puts points on a player so that when the player gets killed the other player will receive the amount of points the spectator bountied on the player. So it makes people wanna kill the people with bounties more.

One thing to remember, bounty is NOT A BET. If you place a bounty on someone, whoever kills them gets the points from the bounty. If you place a bounty, you won't get your points back. Use it wisely!

It puts a target on peoples head, so if they killed you, and you want a little revenge, you can place a small bounty on their head to get them targeted. Of course if they manage to survive, which is a 1/24 chance depending on their skill, they get those points.

Darn... I spent most of my money thinking that Bounty was a type of bet!

Since no one seems to answer. Yes you are right. But about point 1 it SHOULD give 2 the points if he wins, but the system isn't 100% right and make the point dissapear, when 2 wins.

Wrong, the system is fine. If the person wins, they do not get the bounty placed upon their head. I believe Chad may have posted otherwise somewhere, but that was a small mistake.
