Help Connecting with Servers

I have attempted several times to connect to a server, every time I try though i get the same answer: can't resolve ip, unknown server. I play mincraft off a macbook pro and I'm wondering if that has to do something to do with it. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone cold help, because i really want to play :/

Hm. If you have hamachi installed I would highly recommend you to uninstall it, hamachi causes problems connecting to servers as far as I know. Check the guides in the General Support section. If none of them work, and Elisha's thing doesn't work, google is your friend

I believe elisha's idea is going to work. but it's definetly not your mac
