I used to be a huge fan of MCSG... Their servers were the best to play survival games on. However, with each new update, MCSG digs themselves further and further into a grave. They're killing themselves.

For starters, let's realize that people go on MCSG to play SURVIVAL GAMES. There's a reason why every single one of the other minigames released here fails... They would be much better off if they focused on what they're known for, instead of spreading themselves thin and focusing on things no one cares about. I understand that you can't come up with your own ideas and that you want to be like the Hive and Mineplex, but it's not going to happen, please stop.

Now on to the plugins... Failure upon failure of failed launch. Updates that cause more issues on top of other issues that haven't ever been solved. Let's name a few, shall we? That new parties thing? Can't even tell who is in your party/when someone has joined your party/who invited you to a party. Why release this when it's still in development? Also, those new signs? Better programmers could have done that in a much better way. Random numbers and signs switching place every two seconds? 0/10. Now on top of these failed ideas, there's the release of only 1.8: tier 2's are all empty, and some players are invisible when they disguise. (As a side note, I love 1.8 and have been using it sense it came out.. I'm all for making the servers purely 1.8... But make sure it works with your plugins before you release it to the public). Just a hint: TEST THINGS BEFORE YOU RELEASE THEM. It's very unprofessional how you are currently doing things.

Then there's those "stats resets"... Right. We know your programmers don't know what they're doing, and this won't be released for months to come. And when it is finally released, it will be a failure like everything else. There will be many glitches, the staff team will say, "It's being worked on.. just give us time." But it will never e fixed completely. Please focus on one thing at a time, instead of trying to release 7 billion new things at once. If you had just kept the hold hub, and not done this silly "v2" thing, you could have released everything in small doses. For example, adding parties and making sure those work. Then, when that's worked out and functions correctly, add something else...

Finally, there's the issue of the moderators and staff on MCSG. Yes, there are good moderators. However, most of the time I find that the staff is power-hungry 15 year olds. They have no other way to assert their dominance, and they resort to an online community in order to seem big and powerful. It's pathetic, really.

MCSG has dug a giant hole for themselves, members are leaving left and right, and I predict that in a year MCSG will be dead.. Unless something drastic happens and there is a massive overhaul on the system. You have failed us, McGamer, and you no longer have my support.

P.S. If any admin comes across this post, please delete my profile :) I've been trying to contact you in order to get my profile deleted, and I never get a response. Please stop keeping me prisoner.

First of all, yeah I see where you're coming from. There are glitches and errors in the MCSG servers. Not going to lie, at times there are lots of them. However, the developers try their best to make the server better for all people. On the different game modes, its not like adding new game modes will ruin MCSG itself, they are just adding to the SG servers, making them more popular, and profiting MCSG as a whole. Second, on the plugins, again, there are only a handful of devs for MCSG, and these devs are volunteers, they spend their own time to benefit the servers. Don't blame the devs, and if you really want to fix these, spend years learning java and use your free time to help the servers. Now, on the stats update, they have been putting it off for the sole reason to fix these bugs. They originally planned to release it late last year, but they couldn't because they were fixing the bugs. Since they have spent months working on this and done their best, there will be less bugs and it will be successful even if it takes some time. The devs are dedicated and do their best to make MCSG the best possible for everybody. You should also know that hundreds of people apply for moderator, and only the best people are accepted. Again, if you want to help, then you apply for moderator if you think they're all bad. Lastly, if you really hate MCSG this much, just quit and play on another server. MCSG is the original and best server out there, and if you let them down, you left yourself down.

Once again, a thread made for the sole purpose of complaining and starting flame. Let me just clear some things up for you:
  • Yes, most people on MCGamer play Survival Games, but not everyone does. I do not appreciate that you say 'we want to be like Hive and Mineplex' because we really don't. If we wanted to, we would use the same gametypes and features they do. Instead, we've created original games and used AntVenom ones. It's something that you shouldn't really be concerned about. If you only like SG, then only play SG. You complaining about features that you don't use in the first place is really pointless, in my opinion.
  • The party system, while still buggy, has many full-functioning features that are being used by many people on the network. In the future, though, the bugs will be fixed and will work much better than they did before.
  • Currently, the signs update by the amount of people on the servers. If the network has a lot of people on, it makes a server for people to play. It's actually a very good system because there will never be a time where there isn't a server available. On the other hand, I do wish that the signs system was numerical. For example, there should always be a 1-3 and then as more people get on it adds a 4, 5, and so on.
  • The bugs on 1.8 are going to be fixed, and probably really soon considering the severity of them. We had a testing period for many things, but unfortunately the testing was different than the live network. Considering the developers are aware of issues, they're probably going to be working on them very soon.
  • The Leaderboards Update is actually being worked on as you suggested. We're making sure it's 100% working before releasing it as it's tracking the thing that means most to so many people. So, what do you want, a working system or a buggy timely system?
  • To be honest, your comment about staff is highly disrespectful and unneeded. I personally don't think we're "power-hungry 15-year-olds." If we did it for the power, we'd be demoted soon after we were accepted. We applied to help the community, not to have authority over anyone else. Also, I'd like to say that yes, some of the community come to MCGamer to get away from stresses in real life. If some people didn't, they'd go crazy with stress.
  • MCGamer is gaining more people daily than we lose. Although we do have some issues to get together, we aren't going to die in one year. People who complain and break rules are the ones who will scare people off, not a bug on a system that will be fixed. Those who stand by MCGamer and support what we're working for are the ones that will build up the network.
I am locking this thread because of the flame and slanderous comments. Have a wonderful day! :)
