Good Gaming Keyboard?

Hi everyone.
So, many people have been telling me to get a 'keyboard'
I never really actually 'thought' of buying a keyboard, but my question is, should I actually invest in a gaming keyboard? I'm currently using the Alienware M18's keyboard.
Will getting a keyboard improve anything?
And if I should get one, which one exactly, and my budget is going to be not more than $150 USD.
And some people have been telling me to NOT buy the razer black widow, for some reason.
