There is a bug in SG where if you eat a Golden Apple and you had more than 1 in your hotbar at that time and you remain on that hotbar slot, the Golden Apples which you didn't eat disappears too. Is this just lag, is it just me, or is it for everyone? I hope I explained it clearly enough...

I believe this is a minecraft bug, as it happens on other servers, along with single-player. Unfortunately, if this is a minecraft-side bug, MCGamer can not do anything to stop this. The best you can do is to eat one, then switch to a different item.

Also, next time, when/if you make another bug report, try to add a video showing the bug.
