I spend a lot of time alone. I get the opportunity to think about a lot of things. I enjoy thinking about some of those age-old questions, such as "Why are we here?"

At a first glance, there really is no clear answer to this, and it sounds like a stupid question. Really, we're probably just... here because we're here. No full purpose, we're just kind of here because life exists.

However, sometimes I think about this for hours... among other things. Occasionally, I can achieve a sort of "Glimpse." For a couple seconds, I can summon enough brain power to suddenly kind of see something. Not literally, of course. I mean that my brain can momentarily make sense of it, come up with something. And then I forget. It's kind of weird and I don't really know what I'm talking about myself.

Wow, I feel really stupid for what I just wrote xD I'll bet nobody can make sense of it. I can't really make sense of it myself.

Opinions/reflections?

I completely understand that sort of situation that happens with you, and in a way, I myself am quite intrigued by how our minds work, and the certain "Glimpses" we get.
What's quite peculiar for me is that I commonly get it somewhat around the night time, I would think that the "Glimpses" you refer to are normally referred to as hallucinations, sometime they can be petrifying, other times they can be quite interesting. I always believed I have gotten these hallucinations due to the fact that I am usually sleep deprived.

What does intrigue me is that somewhere near the ceilings of my wall, when there is light, it would be seemingly plain and just simply the white paint. However during the night time it has a square of absolute darkness, as if it looked like a hole in the wall, it was in a manner, quite petrifying, but quite interesting.
