Hi, my IGN is currently ttt6t and I plan to change it soon. I personally am not excited about it, and was looking forwards into changing it. I was going to change it to "TurtleGalaxy" which I hope to change my IGN soon, but then I thought about it more and realized I really wanted my name to be "Turtle" Why? I love turtles, my skin is a turtle, my YT name has Turtle in it, why wouldn't I? Well, one problem stands in the way of some one else already having the name Turtle. I looked at his profile and saw he is not active at all. The last time he was on the forums was over 2 years ago. He had 1 total post, and it seems that he wont be on the forums anytime soon. I was thinking if there is a possibility that a person who posts a lot and is active on the forums should be able to "Over ride" an extremely inactive forum member for the sole purpose of their name. Of course, to make it some what easier you could implement something like Club Penguin where their account gets deleted after like 5 months. Although it would keep the forums fresh, some one could have internet problems or robbed a bank and got grounded (IDK) But the point is, sometimes that could go wrongly. If this IS a thing, it could easily get out of hand, just randomly deleting peoples forum accounts out of fun, but it should be just like the Name change rule, only 1 name. So you could over ride 1 name on the forum, if they are inactive EX. Not on the forums 1 year + and get their name you just desire. Anyways, this does not have to be a thing, but it would be very nice to have considering there are a lot of forum accounts that are rotting and have no use, but someone who really wants it and is very active on the forums does.

No, because people are going to take advantage of this and take inactive VIP accounts like Huahwi's.

This can easily be tinkered with, and my example "Turtle" was NEVER active, made a total of 1 post. If it is necessary VIP's can be dodged, or simply be declined, but I doubt people will care after a year, even if MC GAMER is still around :/

But what if it's someone's IGN and it's the only way they're recognisable to others? It's an interesting idea, but I don't really think it'll work out overall.

What do you mean if it is someones ign ._. If there is this person called baccalover1234 and has 1 post for ban appeal and gets denied, then just leaves the forum for a year and has not come back since. Then am here and want that to be my forum name, I highly doubt any one would notice. I had said INACTIVE forum members, thus I couldn't just take yours away :p

Then again there are people like Jstame who are going away for a while and will be inactive.

I would love if they made this happen. I've wanted the forum name MadDawg for quite some time now but a guy who is not active has it. It would be great if I could overrule him and take the name!

But does he have 1 post? No. And I doubt he will be gone for over a year. I should of been more clear. If Mooclan quits the forums, no one should be able to take his name, and just be recognized, it is those people that have like 10 posts and did absolutely nothing for the

This sounds like a great idea. Not really much else to say :)

I like how you're thinking, but I'd say all would need to happen is a account deletion upon prolonged inactivity on the forums. Say one year of inactivity, maybe shorter, and a user's account will be deleted. Although, if people had the ability to delete/control other users accounts' it would get very hectic, very fast.

You can already do this. If you want your forum name to be changed, then just ask an admin. If the name is already taken, if it has like, no posts and hasn't even logged on in a year then they will delete the account. Unless it is like, something really famous, or they have a decent amount of posts.
