Hello, I'm gonna teach you about how to use an fishing rod effectively!
Water Fights:
In a waterfight, a fishing rod could be very useful if you know how to use it.
If you team, you can boost your teammate to the player, it will give him a boost.
If you are low in a water fight, you can boost your enemy away from you, but if he dives, then dive too and try to be under him, and you can use your fishing rod to boost him away (a fishing rod always goes on the water-surface, so look down and rightclick your rod, so it will go wider).
Land fights:
On a land fight, you can use your rod when a player runs to you, you can hit him with the rod so he doesn't have this sprint advantage. Then you can easily hit him while he can't hit you. (Warning: This advantage won't last long if the enemy is a good PvPer).
Escaping
While you escape on a land fight,if the enemy isn't too far away behind you or he is too close too you (it should work from 8-17 blocks) you can turn around and still walk but you can try to boost him away with the rod. You can do this one time or more, this is your decision. Sometimes, if you have luck, just look up and throw your rod in the air. I had the luck many times that it hitted the player behind me, which gave me a little advantage.
Thank you for reading this little guide, post a comment if I forget anything
