So I have made up my mind that I am going to be retiring from Minecraft for the time being. As a forewarning, I will come back when I feel I will enjoy it, which I don't see happening for at least half a year. Anyways, let's tell my story.
So back in April 2013, I got really into Minecraft and got the cracked version to see if I liked it or not. I loved it. I decided that I was going to buy it so that I could have a name and skin and play with friends. About a week later there was an awards ceremony for my 8th grade class and I was one of the three randomly chosen people to win 50$. The first thing I did when I got home was run to the store and pick up a card and some candy (love me some Twizzlers). I named my account iPandaHDTV and began playing with my IRL friend VexProHD (a.k.a. Varieties). At first we played on a really bad server for SG but we thought it was fun. I'm talking full diamond from chests, hackers everywhere, etc. After a while we decided to look up some better servers because we were sick of playing on the 3 maps that were on there. We came across another server, not as bad as the last one but still mediocre at best. After that, Vex had found out about MCSG because of some of his skype friends. We started to play on that and we were so happy that we found a better server, we loved it.
Fast forward to summer break. I decided to start playing with Vex's friends a bit more and skyping with them a lot. The first I can remember of those times was playing with his friend DELTRIX and betraying him on Holiday Resort (Tyler, if you are reading this: that was totally worth it, don't be mad
) Anyways, I also went on the meet some great friends, including: Chris_Hill12, xxdreaa, g0fish27, and qweasdrtyfgh. Anyways, I continued to make friends by skype teaming with people on MCSG which still are some of my good friends today. I spent 2/3 of the summer sleeping over at Vex's house and we had a lot of fun times on MCSG.
After that summer when school started back up, is when we got a lot more serious about MCSG. Connor (Vex) got a new account named Varieties to get his stats up to the best he could and I continued to die to him every time in death match, I sucked. Anyways, I met another good friend through him named XylerDood and we played a lot for the next 3 months. Around December/January Connor just stopped playing Minecraft. He just no longer found it fun to play it, I guess. That kind of sucked and almost made me want to quit, but I stayed and played with XylerDood for a month. After that, he just kind of stopped playing as well. I needed someone to play with so I hit up one of my friends that I haven't played with in months, Deltrix. We started playing a lot until around March when his mom wasn't too fond of him playing and he told me he needed to take a break for 5 months. I was out of people to play with. I had no good friends that played or talked to me anymore. They all just left.
After playing by myself I got to be pretty bad at the game and my stats showed it. So I bought a new account known as SmoothPixels. After that I found out that Connor had come back, for how long I had no idea. We played again and I tried new tactics and noticed that I started beating him a good amount of times. I tried those tactics all the time, not just on good players, and I turned out to be a decent player and got okay stats. Then it happened again, Connor left. I literally had no friends to play with. So I decided to try to make some new friends. I did this by applying for moderator. After my first application, I was denied by KRaidium and I was sad but it made me realize I had to do better. I then reapplied 5 hours later and was moved to accepted by Sean. I jumped out of my bed when I checked it on my phone and turned on my computer. I was late to school that day, let's just say that. The next day I was in the waiting room. 15 minutes until the interviews. My internet times out for the whole night due to an issue with the company. Next day, I sit in the waiting room and nothing happened. Then, on a Thursday, literally the next day, I got my interview. They tricked me and made me think I wasn't going to be making the cut. When I found out I did, I was so happy.
Anyways, from there I was an active player and moderator for about 2-3 months. Then I started playing my PS3 again with my friends and hanging out with them on a daily basis. I knew I couldn't go on with both of them. I had to give one up. After not launching Minecraft for almost a month, I decided to give up moderating. I regretted it almost immediately. I revoked it and tried to be more active but I couldn't. I just resigned yesterday and decided I need to quit.
