Disconnecting frequently

For quite some time now, my friend has had an issue with being disconnected from MCGamer. In the beginning, it was only once every 5-10 games. He would be disconnected for "bad compressed data format". We really didn't think much of it, considering it didn't happen that frequently.

However, now, he's been dealing with it a lot more. For many different reasons. It isn't every 5-10 games.. it's every other game or before he even joins a game. The screenshots are all the reason he's been getting lately. Although, there have been more since these were taken.

If any of you could help, that would be wonderful. c:

Does it happen on only MCSG or other servers as well?

That looks like a problem with his computer to me. Does it happen on other servers?

It only happens on MCGamer. He has no problems with any other servers.

That is a client-side issue, not an MCGamer one; however, I would recommend deleting and reinstalling Minecraft.

Ah, okay. I believe he has deleted/reinstalled Minecraft more than once, actually. No luck. :/

Tell him to try using 1.8 (or 1.8.1) instead.

It has to do with a 1.7 bug, maybe updating to 1.8 may help?

To fix this, try running a diagnostics through your network that you are using. Secondly, turn off Wi-Fi or Ethernet, then turn it back on. Then, look in your launcher to see what might have caused this. Sorry if this doesn't work. If it doesn't, try contacting someone who is more savvy with stuff like this.
Hope this helps!
