Direct messages not working? So..

As my direct messages are not working (for an unknown reason), I decided that I would email a few senior moderators/admins my age exception request. Is this acceptable, in this circumstance?

What do you mean with 'direct messages'? Do you mean pm's or normal replies to forum threads?
