Hello and welcome to the Custom PC Builders Story/Specs Thread
The idea behind this thread is for everyone to post your adventures in building a PC! Maybe, some difficulties, surprises, scares etc... Also, post your PC Specs so we can all compare
I will start:
Story:
I built my PC in two segments; the first was around November of 2012, I ordered the motherboard, processor, case, ram and power supply (Wishing for the CPU Cooler, SSD and the mouse and keyboard for Christmas). I was so excited for the parts to arrive that I would watch all the PC Building videos just to pump myself up! So after two days a package arrived, I was so excited only to find out that it was only my case:'( I got the other parts 4 days later in the mail. So I went to work building the PC, luckily, I didn't get any DOA (Dead on arrival) parts. Everything worked out fine, I had my first batch of parts all assembled, now the big wait until Christmas!
So it was Christmas and we were all unpacking our presents! Then I picked up the package that said my name on it and tore it apart! (Carefully of course xD) only to find that it in fact was my brother's present The rest of my parts had not arrived So then my parents agreed to drive me to Toronto on Boxing Day to buy the rest of my parts! It was my first time visiting a store on Boxing Day (I know) and luckily the line was only 20 people! (Went to the NCIX Store) So we went inside and got amazing deals on the rest of my parts! On the car ride home, I was so excited, I kept taking the boxes out of the bag and caressing them xD So then we got home, I finished up the build and hit the power button! (Luckily) It all started up and flashed the BIOS, My Computer was successfully built!

GPU: Evga GTX 650ti Boost SC 2GB
Motherboard: MSI Z77A-GD65
CPU Cooler: Cooler Mater Hyper 212 Evo
RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance
SSD: Intel 520 256GB
Keyboard: Corsair Vengeance K60
Mouse: Corsair Vengeance M90
