I don't know if this is possible with pluggins or mods but i think there should be packs inside the chests that u don't open right away u wait untill u find a safe place(like the movie with the backpack) and open it to see what you got! Thanks

Sounds like fun, although kind of pointless, wouldn't you want your gear right away?
