When you are in the process of moving things from a chest into your inventory while getting killed during MCSG, a bug occurs. All the stuff you had gotten from that chest stays in your inventory and doesn't fall onto the ground. Then as a spectator, you can carry the stuff in the chest. If you try throwing the stuff it randomly disappears in mid-air.

This is a glitch that occurs rarely, but really doesn't do anything to affect the game. The items are referred to as being "ghosted". The developers have been aware of this problem for a long while; however I am not sure there is much they can do about it.

Clear their inventory on a death :p actually takes 1 line of code ^.^

Its been on their radar for quite a while now, they've known as Captain said. However, it isn't one of their priorities therefore they are leaving it until they get some time to edit it.

Yes it is possible to clear the inventory with one line yes but for quite some time Bukkit has had an issue with inventory updates. The inventory is cleared when you die but because there is a Bukkit bug where the call happens and server side the inventory is cleared but the issue is the client never receives the "update" so the items become "ghosted".
