48-player maps have to be at least 1000 blocks in diameter (500 in the radius)...

I don't know if you've noticed, but this doesn't really apply anymore. Hence all the small maps that have a radius of like 250... 1000 blocks in diameter is huge. That's kinda why people don't follow this anymore. Just thought I'd alert you. You can make maps that are smaller than this template says, as this template is very old.
