Can't hear minecraft sounds

I can't here any sound when it put my sounds on. But when I click on options it makes a sound.

Hmm, if it doesn't work on Skype as well then it might not be Minecraft. Check in your volume mixer if its on for both Skype and Minecraft (go to the volume icon and click on Volume Mixer at the bottom; drag the slide up for Skype and Minecraft)
If the volume is already up for both of them, try updating your sound card using device manager.
