Hey guys. Ever since we were compatible with 1.7.2, 1.6.4, and 1.6.2, I haven't been able to join the Europe based Hub server on any version other than 1.7.2. For some reason it's not providing me with any instances of 1.6. Is this happening to anyone else?

First!

I only play on 1.7.2, and if I ever go onto the EU hub it works fine. I haven't tried 1.6.4 or 1.6.2 on it yet.

Ah, I see. I use 1.6 mainly for Macros mod for moderation purposes. Once Optifine 1.7 comes out, I'll most likely be switching to 1.7

What the heck is Macros? Is it a new type of Nachos or Macaroons?

Macros go good with a side of French Onion dip, for sure! :p

All jokes aside, Macros are scripts that can be performed after a keystroke or button press. It allows Moderators to store useful phrases and links to respond efficiently in situations that occur regularly and warrant the same response or action (such as posting the Report Abuse link or Ban Dispute link in the Hub).

In response to the question, this is an interesting bug. I'd recommend letting Devin know on the bug report email ([email protected]). I'm sure the developers already know about this, considering it's a fairly signifcant bug that's sure to affect quite a number of users staying on 1.6.4 to use OptiFine, but it never hurts to double-check and make sure!

I've spoken to both Sub and Kpwn about this personally, and from the way Kpwn was speaking, it seemed as though he wasn't aware of it at the time. I think Bill was more knowledgable on the fact. Kpwn said that he would try to see what could be done for the matter.

To my knowledge, the reason for this happening is that they modified the protocol version BungeeCord will return. The backend minecraft servers are still on 1.6.4 I believe, but sometimes it does not return the right version to the client and the client assumes that the server will not let it join and display a red cross. Have you tried direct connecting? That should bypass it and may work.
