Cannot connect to server, please help!

I'm new, and everytime i try to connect to a minecraft hungergames server like au2.mcsg.in i cannot connect. what's going on?

currently maintenence is being done on the servers, updating to 1.7.2. if this is not the problem i suggest reading some guides.

What is the error message that comes up when you try to connect?

What does it say when you try to connect? What's the error message? Does it say anything about you being banned? More info will help.

try connecting to the hub = au.mcgamer.net or us.mcgamer.net and once your in the hub try to join a server

Well, i think u can't go directly to an AU server but if you try US, it'll probably work. The Hub for it is us.mcgamer.net
