I was thinking of getting a new account with Platinum on it as soon as I finish my holiday, however, it ends at 2nd August. The problem is that one of my friends told me that I will not be able to buy donorship after 1st August due to EULA, is this true?

No, your friend was incorrect.

The EULA changes will be enforced on August 1st, yes. As far as I know.
However, MCGamer's ranks are not going to be affected as much by the new EULA. There will be almost no changes, other than removing the additional bounty that people receive for being a donor.
Ranks themselves will continue to exist, particularly on MCGamer.
