Hello, I have recently noticed a spike in AU players, all the lobbies are full most of the time, at midnight, half on them are full, on US there is always heaps of empty lobbies. Im requesting more servers for AU, if this could happen, it would be much appreciated, AU players are always forgotten when more servers get added.
When a lobby opens up 40 people are trying to join it, they all get in and 16 people get kicked. I know money is an issue but there are a lot more AU players that you think, please do not tell me to buy donor, as I would love to support my favourite server, but I cant afford it.

You can't afford 8 bucks? I just bought donor a few hours ago because I'm going to be spending more time playing, and I want to be able to join full servers. Donor ranks were (and still are) on sale today, so I thought "Why not?".
Iron Donor is extremely cheap now, I'd get at least $5 from doing a 'trolly-coin run' around the local shopping center for a few minutes.

Yeah, 8 bucks is amazingly cheap. I earn that in about 10 minutes' work.
Whats a trolley coin run? I was looking for some employment but nobody takes me seriously because of my age, I ran my own server and made around $100 for 1 month but it was taking up hours and hours of my life, my location + my school makes it impossible for me to work, I dont get payed for jobs around the house.

I work AT my school. Legally speaking, I'm underage so I can't get a 'real' job. Because I don't do anything during recess or lunch, I work at the canteen and earn quite a lot considering I don't need to pay for my own food, bills, etc.

A 'trolley-coin' run is when you go around a shopping centre, trying to find trolleys that haven't been returned but still have coins in them. I just walk down to the car park and do a bit of scoping around. 10 minutes later, I've found 10 dollars worth of coins, and it goes straight into my savings.

I also play on AU sometimes and I notice lag spikes as well within the players.

haha, you scavenger :p
Hey, you can call it what you want. One time, I did it twice a day over the Term 2 - Term 3 school holiday break, and earned an average of $24 a day. That's $168 dollars a week, or a total of $336 for the whole of the holidays.

You call it scavenging, I call it profit.

Had to do some digging around to find something I said on the matter a while back
AU really doesn't need more servers at all, the only times I ever see the servers fill quickly are around 7-9pm. The rest of the time either the servers don't fill completely or take the whole lobby time to do so. Also, like previously stated, if you look at the population difference between EU and US to AU it's massive! Also EU attracts players from many different nationalities and not just one or two countries like AU does.

Another problem with this idea is the cost. From what I've heard and seen around the forums, AU servers are very expensive and it would cost a lot just for 5 more servers. US and EU are really cheap and AS is still cheaper than AU (but still more expensive than the other 2) but they have a lot less servers due to the lack of demand. AU also has a low demand compared to US and EU so it's easier just to give them more servers because they need them and they are in MCGamer's price range.

This may seem biased since I can join full servers but even before that I never had any difficulties doing so.The only reason you're probably having trouble now is because of the database being down/offline message, it still effects me a lot and I miss joining several lobbies due to it.
Most of that is still relevant, if not all of it.
1 au server costs the same as either 4 or 3 us servers according to Forairan
May be wrong here (feel free to correct me) but we can't buy individual servers. We need to buy a node, or some technical thing that I have no clue about, which contains space to hold several servers. These node/box thingies are the main cost, not the actual servers themselves. I'm pretty sure a new one for AU was purchased recently which is going to host Quarter Quell, SG Classic and maybe Kit PvP for AU.
