Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

Literally just played this game for three days straight, and that was just for the main story. This is definitely the longest AC story line yet. Sadly, it was probably the worst. I'll admit, they improved the main character from Conner, who was more monotone and lacking than Altair; But Edward still didn't appeal as much as I'd like. I really think they need to add some humor into their characters, probably the main reason Ezio was so appealing. The present day main character is even worse, its supposed to be 'you' which is completely boring, the only entertainment I get from the present now is the two occasions where you get to see the assassins and the snide remarks that John makes into your earpiece. Gameplay wise they did a fabulous job integrating the sea and land missions although everything soon became very repetitive. They gave you a choice of either being stealthy or head on in this game which was nice, but most of the time you'll give up on being stealthy and charge fifty guys with your sword because they made stealth too open. While the grass and shrubs are a nice touch all you'll be doing is hopping through those and most of the time being spotted. The free running itself is very buggy for me, countless times I tried to perform a leap of faith which ended up with me jumping off a church to imminent death, which is actually a good metaphor for the direction Ubisoft is taking the series.

I don't know, III and IV were okay but I feel the series has definitely been going downhill since brotherhood.

EDIT: I totally agree with you the AC series has fallen from brotherhood it was much more intense less repetitive and very time consuming and humours but now all you do is mainly kill and kill and kill....No point buying AC V when it comes out!
