Alt Accounts for Hackers

This is becoming a real problem lately. Buying an alt account isn't more than 1.50 dollars, as Nodus sells many. This is dumb, since Hackers can keep on hacking, and there isn't enough moderators on the US and EU servers. (I am only saying this because I didn't see ONE for 15 games with friends.) Isn't there a way to somehow prevent this? Like when a player gets temp-banned you could also ip-ban them?

An IP-ban could be necessary if the alts kept persisting. An old server I used to play on would tell all the Administrators (I was one) when someone joined if their IP had been previously used on a different account and list off that account or multiple accounts. This would be a wonderful thing to implement.

Mhmmm. It would help a lot, and make the mods jobs simpler Personally, I think it is quite simple to implement this. Just scan the IP of each player, and if it is used twice from different accounts then a message could be broadcasted.

guys having been a hacker temp before(for te lols) u do realize any socks4/5 proxy and socks 5 proxy would render those suggestions pretty useless??? until minecraft has a legal way of tracking your computer hackers will still be around till then ex-griefer rene away!!!!!!!!

and if you are wondering how easy it is to get a socks list of proxy just search up socks 4/5 list and their will be plenty of evidence to support my claim till then just be sure to report em instead

Yes alts are becoming a problem, but only some people have the brains to actually go out and buy an alt. Most people just go brainDead and go play some other server. I have a list of alts that are banned on my server.

Nodus and other unfair modified clients don't sell accounts as far as I'm concerned, I'm certain they give free use to an alt database whilst disclosing the password details. Infact the client Nodus itself 'steals' last login session details to use in ddos contributing and increasing the alt database of theirs.

The people who are selling accounts for less then $5 etc are that kind of illegal community, owners of session stealing servers, clients, crackers, general password stealers, selling them illegally to hackers/spammers.

Nethertheless an IP-Ban I agree with.

What I meant is that if a player has a banned account on the IP he is playing on.
