Alerts bug?

It seems as if half the time i was tagged in a thread/post it doesn't alert me. Not sure if a bug or what, just wanted to bring it to attention to see if it was or not. (didn't use bug report thing to fill in because none of the questions revolved around this type of bug).

lol, nah i rarely get any alerts. But i saw a few threads that i was tagged in and never got an alert.

Wait...how did you see you were tagged in the posts without getting an alert? Did a friend alert you?

Are they old posts by chance that you were already tagged in awhile ago?

I actually get this too. I'll see a leaving thread and be like "o my friend didn't tag me :c" and then I look, and they actually did. I just never get alerts for it. >.<

nope new at the time, i figured i was tagged because it was an irl friend who told me.

From a web dev standpoint, the only thing I can see that causes this is if the poster edited your tagged name into the post. But I've had two people edit me in as cheerleader rank of two clans in the past two weeks (lot of twos there lul) and it worked fine. This definitely seems like something best reported to XenForo directly though.

It's definitely not my name being edited in. I promise. It's been a bug for awhile.

It is nothing we can fix because it is not our software. Probably should report this to XenForo directly.
