I hate maps with a lot of water too :/ We're going to try and make it less water

The terraforming looks amazing, although the amount of water doesn't look great for game play to me, although you're fixing that, which is good!

Looks good so far, just try to reduce the water like you said.

If you can't reduce that much water, I suggest using lilly pads
