Okay, before I share my opinion, let me get this straight: I am not new to Minecraft. I have been playing since Beta 1.4 and have been following the game's updates and playing since. Of course, singleplayer is only entertaining for so long so I tried out the multiplayer mode. I looked at various server lists and hopped servers like a bunny. I found one server in particular called Savage Realms (don't worry, the server has since closed [i.e. not advertising]) and I joined the forums. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. People worked together to make great things, others tore eachother apart for what seemed like no reason. I got a "Helper" staff position and sooner or later I experienced the drama of what was called "staff corruption". People got angry because a staff didn't deserve their position, or a lower staff deserved a higher position, or they got banned for a stupid reason, or a staff abused them, the list goes on. I managed to leave the server before the real storm came that basically destroyed the server. Watching YouTubers a year later or so I discovered this server. I played Survival Games with my sister and we had a fun time, with the occasional hacker or annoying player now and then. But honestly, with such a large player base, it's to be expected. Then I checked out these forums a week ago. I've read threads on how people got banned for simple mistakes by staff and how people try to "rebel" (keyword " ") against the staff for almost nothing, sort of like my SR days. So, what's my stance now?

Don't take this as an insult to you, a forum browser, or you, friend, a helpful moderator. I'm just giving my two cents as an outsider looking in. My advice going on, both user and operator, is to keep in mind how your server looks from the outside. But kudos to you guys for making a cool server network, even despite its rare shortcomings.
Adios, amigos.
