Hello all.
It's been a while, sorry. It's hard sometimes to know how to make a half decent thread so I haven't bothered in quite some while.
But today I'd like to talk about what I believe is a change in the 'atmosphere' of the forums recently. The community corner, normally the home of half decent threads and an escape from confused Turks and immature clan kiddies has well, not been as good as it once was. The forum seems to be a mixture of these things, with a few rare exceptions:
- There's been a whole lot of threads based around moderators and applying for moderator. Everyone seems to be getting moderator these days, and those who haven't are making posts and threads talking about how they got pending or interview. Good for you, well done! That's actually not sarcastic, either. But as someone who's banned from applying (not for long though!) and for the many others who'd like to have interesting threads in the community corner, all this discussion about who does and doesn't have mod seems to be overwhelming. That means mini-mod complainers too! You're going to be your own group soon if you keep moaning about them.
- I've also seen a rise in the 'I have bad grammar and mock vanth and make fun of minecraft but am still around here for some reason lol rebel!' posters. I hope they don't turn this thread into a long vanth joke because half the time they get away with it because any time a mod deletes a post its 'my free speech! I want to vandalise forums so let me be!'. Enough on that I think.
- Then there's just the lack of decent threads. We have plenty of the 'what's your ____ _____?' threads which aren't too bad, and the 'top 5 community members/staff/players/pvpers/people/more members' threads where everyone tags people and hope they get a like or two from them so they feel better.
So this ended up a bit rant-ish. Sorry. I may regret this in the morning but it's late and I feel like speaking my mind.
Good night
