We were told that this would be a feature in 1.8, but it turned out that they are still working towards it.

You can change your minecraft name already, except mojang has not made an easy way to change it (Not linked through website or instructions on how)

I'm not 100% positive on this, but this is what i have heard.

Well... You know that Mojang is now owned by Microsoft... So we'll probably have to pay for it. If it even comes out...
