1.7 vs 1.8

Just wondering what everyone is going to use now that we have the option of using both 1.7 and 1.8 and why.

I'm probably going to use 1.7 because I feel I will have a disadvantage if I use 1.8 against players who use 1.7

There are advantages and disadvantages to both, I personally prefer 1.7 though. c:

if everyone had to use 1.8 i would use 1.8, but if people could 1.7 i would have to use that, because being on 1.8 against 1.7 u have a disadvantage, but overall i'd say pvp wise 1.8 is better.

To be perfectly honest I am kind of mad they switched back to 1.7 . Me being a Map Builder for Invictus, not being able to build maps with 1.8 blocks is really frustrating. In addition to that, MCGamer can't stay on 1.7 forever and there will come a time when they will HAVE to switch and drop 1.7, we had finally reached a stage where the "switch back to 1.7" threads were diminishing and people were adapting to 1.8 .

I dont like 1.7 as well the reason being is because 1.8 i use a setting called vbo's that increases fps 1.7 does not have that so i lag a lot on 1.7 nd i played my first game with 1.8 today nd all ppl were doing is block hitting it really sucks for me atleast

I am kinda mad about switching versions but I preffer 1.8 because my fps is better and there's no blockhit.
I don't wanna discuss about this because this is just my opinion and everyone thinks different. (*grammar*)

I myself will be using 1.7 because I'm more comfortable with it, and I can do much better in fights when incorporating blockhits.

Yeah, 1.8 had more blocks...

But 1.7 doesn't have weird texture glitches, it feels smoother, my computer gets almost 2x the performance while on 1.7 (VBOs dont affect me), and with blockhitting I can straightline like no other. Now I can scrim without sucking

Honest truth from what I think.

However if you think 1.8 is your style of pvp, then it's your own choice since we have both.
